The Mayor's Neighborhood Task Force was established to address the concerns of citizens and the challenges that face neighborhoods throughout our community.
The Task Force meets every week to discuss specific concerns and issues such as Disorderly House ordinances, drug houses, environmental problems and others. The Task Force is made up of representatives from several City departments, including the Mayor's Office, Legal, Police, Fire, and Code Enforcement, as well as outside agencies as appropriate, such as the St. Joseph County Prosecutors Office, South Bend Housing Authority and the St. Joseph County Public Welfare Department. It is the goal of the Task Force to work with other departments and agencies to assist in addressing and solving challenges that affect the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
If you have a problem or concern that you think we may be able to assist you with, please contact the Mayor's Neighborhood Task Force or call the Mayor's Office at 574.235.9261.
